Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter who brought out the best in everyone. As her children grew and went off to college she invested her time and energy in her extended family and grandchildren. She was involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations serving as the youth leader at New Hope Baptist Church, an officer in Monroe Kiwanis Club and helped the Monroe Shag Club Foundation raise more than $350,000 for local charities. No matter what she did she did it to the best of her ability and took great joy in seeing others benefit from her efforts.
